Central Iowa Paddlers Middle Raccoon River Program
  • River Clean Up
  • Water Quality Monitoring
    Native American Celebration Committee
  • Monthly planning meetings for annual celebration held in late summer.
    Redfield Development Commission
  • Staff the Redfield Depot along the Raccoon River Valley Trail during the warm season. Offer refreshments for sale to trail users at this rest stop.
    Conservation Youth Program
    Location: Meet at Forest Park Museum, Perry, and bus to conservation areas.
  • Youth ages 9-15 meet on Wednesday mornings for 6 weeks in summer.
  • Need adult leaders for both groups.
  • Plant trees and shrubs.
  • Trail Maintenance.
  • Water Monitoring.
  • Paint picnic tables.
    Adopt-A-Trail
  • Adopt a portion of the Raccoon River Valley Trail.
  • Keep clear of litter and debris.
  • Help with storm clean up.
  • Report to department: obstacles, bee hives, illegal activity.
    Friends Group
  • Coming soon - for Forest Park and Voas Museums and Foundation.
