The Raccoon River Valley Trail Offers Accessibility

The central location of the Raccoon River Valley Trail makes it easily accessible to trail users from across Iowa and the country.

A key word in describing the Raccoon River Valley Trail is central.  The trail originates on its east end in central Dallas and Polk Counties in central Iowa which are in turn in the central United States. The trail is close to a large metropolitan base and relatively close to several other large cities.  It is also very close to east/west and north/south Interstate Highway systems.  The Raccoon River Valley Trail is part of the American Discovery Trail which will span the country from coast to coast.
